Home Valley Brickworks are a leading brickwork contractor based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. We aim to provide our clients with build satisfaction and take pride in our role in housing Britain.
Home Valley Brickworks’ sites are audited daily rigorously by our director’s and foremen.
We set up in 2020 right before the COVID 19 pandemic started as Chris and David decided they had the 40 years combined experience that could be used in running their very own business.
Since then, Chris and David have worked tirelessly to build a team that we can be so proud and has resulted in the development of long-term commercial relationships with lots of nationally recognised developers.
Meet The Team
Chris Betts

Director
Chris since leaving school was worked as a bricklayer and was rebound across the industry for his excellent brickwork standards. As Chris went through his career, he began to struggle with back pain which made him struggle to continue working on the tools. As his love for brickworks could not disappear, in 2020 Chris felt like he was now in a position in his life to become a director of his own company which he has helped take from strength to strength. Chris has two young children and loves spending time with them outside of work aswell as walking daily.
Chris’ role within the company is to handle all current contracts including the handling of clients and the daily auditing of all Home Valley sites. Chris also helps in the finding new leads and converting these into new thriving commercial relationships.
David Walker

Director
Dave before becoming a director of Home Valley also worked on site for over 20 years as a bricklayer and was also a renound name across the Yorkshire and Lancashire bricklaying industry. Dave was working as a site foreman when he met Chris in the last ten years, and they have a passion for working with each other. Due to this passion, in 2020 Dave felt it was the right time along with Chris to form their very own company. Dave also has two young children and on evenings and weekends if you were to find Dave anywhere it would be on a golf course, his passion for the sport is unmatched.
Dave’s role within the company is the handling of some Home Valley contracts. Dave quantity surveys all works that come in and returns tender packs to clients with the aim to win works so we can provide excellent build quality and continue to build a long list of commercial relationships that flourish within the future.
Luke Sunderland
Business Development Support
Luke is our most recent acquisition with only recently joining the firm in 2024. Luke comes from more of an academic background graduating with 3 A Levels from Huddersfield New College in Law, History and Business. Alongside working for Home Valley parttime, Luke is currently undertaking a BSC Business Management Degree at Liverpool John Moore’s University. Luke enjoys socialising with friends on a weekend and enjoys watching Rugby and is a devoted Evertonian.
Luke’s role at Home Valley is to grow us digitally working alongside dedicated market consultants in addition to developing strategies to help us grow our sales through finding more leads resulting in us developing long lasting commercial relationships with developers across Yorkshire and Lancashire
